What to do on CPU overload?

A lot is written about CPU overload problem, but I didnt see a suggestion.
I have a complex song with a lot of wiring and effects.
During the PLAY of the song, my COMPUTER freezes and then, if I dont touch anything, releases after couple of minutes.
Any suggestions on how to fight it?

It is only a problem for neanderthals living in the dark ages-as in 3 or 4 or more year old computers. These users are desperately trying to grow a chin.

Export out parts or cpu-heavy instruments and chains or sections of songs. Then play the file back with one of the sample players. This is very effective.

Then get tired of doing this and go back to beating off to Alienware ads.
