Someone's probably already mentioned this, but maybe a text-2-speech editor utilising the Vocaloid engine would be a nice feature... we've already got the Vocoder...

Yes, this has come up a few times. This could give interesting options. Though my preference would be to steer clear of the Vocaloid. Cantor sounds great with a few tweaks. I'm sure the props would do it their own way though. I doubt they would license the technology. Beside it would most likely cost us more if they did license it.

well, since Apple already has Plaintalk built in and i think windows has something called Narrator? then it would be cool if you could do something like this...

but the props would do better than either of them...

although - now the props would have to include a damn text editor? assign syllables/words to midi keys? design a whole bunch of cool voices or at least allow for a variety of vocal modeling techniques to be able to tweak the timbre, gender, accent, etc...
