these are both great.. really like movie soundtrack style stuff.

sacred place has a great Vangelis feel to it, without sounding too much like that.. if you know what I mean.

I wish I could review more music up here.. unfortunately my mac hates most of the sites people post mp3's to. soundclick is the worst. can't stream or even download anything off that site.

anyway.. glad you posted rps's so I could check it out.

great stuff. :)

Wow, you know it's something that really impresses me about the way you use Reason, and that's your ability to get amazing sounds using a small number of devices. It's certainly the case here, and I agree with Prog on this one - it did remind me a bit of Vangelis but mainly because of that synth that makes a brief appearance towards the middle...

More quality ambience from Stompp - this is a good thing :) I already told you what I thought of End of Time and 60, but for those who haven't listened to them yet they're both also damn impressive - End of Time especially. (look - no mp3 encoding comment... ahh, dammit!)

Man, for 3 instruments its pretty involving, flows along, chills you out.... bliss.....
Nothing much i can say, the 'minimalistic master', superb.
I've just posted a more mellow breaks track on soundclick. Its dark in feeling, but a bit more mellow to my hectic drum tracks! has more of an electro feel aswell, bit of an experiment.
Check it out if you like..

Sacred Place:
I kind of agree with the others, you get a lot out of few modules.
But this time I was a little disappointed. It hits the head more than the heart, if you know what I mean. Nice use of the reverbs, the delay automation really alters the textures. I don't know. Maybe it's because I don't smoke pot anymore. It doesn't go anywhere. I think I miss a feeling of a plan, some kind of structure to the airy texturescapeness of it all.
Good programming, not so great as music, whatever that is...

While I was writing this, I started listening to Curious Form, which was completely different, yet unmistakably Stompp. Eerie melody over a fairly complex rhythmic ambience. It reminds me of some of the stuff I used to hear a lot of when I was doing sound design for a theatre. It sounds like music that is intended to accompany something, and maybe I have the same kind of objection to this as to Sacred Place - it leaves me wanting something.

Technically they are flawless, and they are moody pieces with your signature.

I just don't think they go anywhere...

Your Fluid EP is still on my playlists though.

:I love Vangelis, so it's a huge compliment for me. Hopefully my synths don't sound too 80s,

nope. doesn't sound dated.

:Soundclick is crap even for PC users right now, so I'll be moving to another host soon me thinks. Any feedback is charitable if you ask me, so even giving a little is a generous use of your time. :)

no prob. I like to critique

you should check out the marsh: http://marsh.prosoundweb.com/

I hang out in the song critique forum alot.

:Heheh, thanks. I think sometimes it's nice to post rps files just so people can see how you've done neat effects or worked in tricks - I often look through your rps stuff to see how you've done certain things

that's cool. I design the rps file I upload specifically to help answer folks questions as to how I do stuff.

it's alot easier to demontrate than to explain.

:And then of course there's the big bonus of avoiding the whole trouble with bitchy MP3 servers... :P

check out: http://www.ic-musicmedia.com/

they have a great setup and you can upload something like.. 10 mp3's.. for free.
