Physical modeling, Propellerhead style
I've seen some suggestions here on physical modeling synthesis, but I thought they all looked a bit more convoluted than something the Propellerheads would consider doing.
Imagine this, though: A unit with just a handful of ultra-efficient Props algorithms modeling such things as a pluck, a pipe, or a strike, where material density, body shape, and so on are controlled in a similar way to how all of the Scream 4 algos are controlled with just a couple of knobs.
I'd imagine some of that math is already in Reason; the body reverberations are probably somewhere between the RV7000 and the body section of the Scream.
