have a little tool that you can run to tell you the best recommended RAM upgrade for your system but until you're on a 64 Bit platform you wont be able to use it. It may be that 4Gb is as good as it gets for your set-up but you may find buying s second copy of windows would be throwing good money after bad if you can't get the performance boost you're hoping for.
