Reason 6 was announced around July 2011 and released September 2011.

When it was announced, Props offered anyone who purchased Duo on or after July 1, 2011 a free upgrade to R6.

This offer was to encourage people to continue to purchase reason between announcement and release instead of waiting for R6 to be released.

Not sure if that offer expired or became obsolete once R6 was released. Note that Duo, being an outdated product, is now discontinued.

How/where did you purchase Duo? Did you get it directly from an authorized dealer, or purchase it used from another user?

The deal to upgrade would be based on the original purchase date. If you bought it new, there's a chance props will give your the free upgrade. If you purchased it used, then upgrade eligibility would be based on the original purchase date.

You should contact Props support with proof of purchase, license number, etc and ask about and/or request the upgrade.

Note that they are closed Dec 24-26 and might have limited staff working until after New Year.

Alternatively, if you bought it new from a dealer, send it back and purchase Reason 6 instead - unless you got a stupid good deal/price on Duo.
