Wear your chimney with pride (Doors/Ray Manzarek tribute)

Following the death of one of my heroes earlier this year, I've finally found time to remix a Doors tribute song I wrote about fifteen years ago. It's very "Riders on the Storm", with it's Manzarek-inspired rolling Piano Bass and long Rhodes solo, both played on two RadicalKeys setups, and closing with a Kreiger-esque guitar solo.

RIP Ray.

Charred and tall and black inside
House, wear your chimney with pride

Build me up like a tower to the stars
You could knock me down with a feather

Wear your make-up like you're meaning to make up
Whipping up a storm in a thimble in a teacup

Blow the horn on every foundation
Needs demolish expectations

Raise me to the ground like a tower of Babel
This Jericho tamed, unarmed and disabled

Wear your make-up like you're meaning to make up
Whipping up a storm in a thimble in a teacup
In a teacup

Wear your make-up like you're meaning to make up
Whipping up a storm in a thimble in a teacup
In a teacup

Charred and tall and black inside
House, wear your chimney with pride
