Well, judging from InterTran's stuff these things haven't really evolved in the last ten years or so. One would expect it to at least make _some_ effort at analyzing context and identifying common colloquial expressions, but it just translates word by word and sometimes it splits words right down the middle and translates the parts. I tried the simplest possible sentence, "Jag heter Fredrik ("My name is Fredrik" in Swedish), and it came out "Self am heating peace". What the...?
