Re: Need some tips on writing music!

:I have used Reason to create two songs so far and I must say that this program truly rocks! However, I'm having some trouble with the songs because they just don't sound quite right. I'm not exactly sure how to fix them but I do know they lack the kind of flow you hear from most trance songs and that's the sort of thing I want to go for. Does anybody know of a web site that provides some tips on music writing? Like what makes a song sound good? Maybe there's a book out there I could buy? If you have any tips for me directly, please feel free to post here too.

:Oh, my songs are here:

Listen up:

You wanna write better songs? Don't look for a website or a book. All you can do is listen. Listen hard to those who have done what you WANT to do successfully.

Listen long, and hard. To as much stuff as you can. That's how you learn.

And remember this: it's going to be your take on the genre, and it's not gonna (and shouldn't) sound like everything that's gone before.
