Excellent, simply put Reason/Record and any other PHeads product pretty much runs amazingly well on the Mbooks. I have a 2nd gen core duo 2 with only 1gig (shall upgrade soon to 2) and its a pleasure

Be sure to upgrade to 4 gigs of ram if you plan to use a lot of hypersampled refills. Macbook will definitely do. Mine 15" pro works very well with R+R. I can playback fairly complex tracks with only 30% or so CPU used. Props are known for their efficient processor use.

Yep. I run Reason/Record on a Macbook (non-pro), from 2008 I believe. 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. I did upgrade to 4GB of RAM and I'm sure that helps a bit, but I've never had to worry about CPU usage even slightly.

I generally mix at a sample rate of 48k, but even with 96k there's no problem.

Hey Notacet! I listened to your stuff and was wondering if you programmed those drums in Reason/Record.. excellent stuff!

Thank you! Yes I did (well actually more like played them rather than programmed them). All my drums are fake and in the newer stuff made with Reason drum kits 2.
