Some oldschool death metal attempts

Hi there,

Just felt like sharing my two latest creations. As the title says, these are a few attempts at making some oldschool death metal with Record. I basically tried to make the whole thing sound like an early 90s death metal album, although the tracks still might feature some more "modern" elements (especially the second one). I also found an appropriate name for this not-too-serious project.

Constructive feedback is appreciated. Enjoy ! \m/

Nicely done. Love the dirty groove around the 1:22 mark in Corpshuggah! Would love the hear some nasty guttural vox over this.

Hehe, glad to see a positive comment from a metalhead colleague. Your Egyptian metal track was great BTW !

I must say I'm quite proud of that title, just because of how absurd it sounds. I may try something I could call "Kannibal KoRn" for an upcoming track, although I can hardly imagine what it would sound like for the moment.

Indeed, some death vocals would be nice, preferably with some gory lyrics ... I've been thinking about doing it myself, I can make some pretty deep growls with some practice. Problem is, I always do it the wrong way and my throat hurts a lot after about 10 minutes. The fact I hate hearing my own voice doesn't help either.

Thanks to you two for your comments !

Did I really learn you something ? Can't remember when ... or did I do it indirectly perhaps ?

Anyway, I'm quite flattered to hear I've been an inspiration for you.

Dude, that must be the sickest guitar sample ever!!! You've gotta share what refill you're using to make such real guitar sounds!!!!

Just kidding, it sounds fantastic!

Great stuff! Minor comment: the drums stand out a bit, making them a little "computerish". Maybe a tiny bit quieter or a little cut on the high frequencies?

.\oo/
