external sample editor for NNXT

hi

I have been using reason for a while..

has anyone seen an external sample editor? I thought I did a few years ago but cant find it now..

I would like something that can drag and drop audio files to create zones.

get a nice BIG and easy to fiddle with ranges/ velocites etc..

now its all a bit fiddly?!

I have played with the one in live and thats a bit easier.. but I want to use reason!!!!!

cheers!

ps my version of reason is ancient! is this in later versions?

Awave can read+write NN-XT (.sxt) files: FMJ Software

But this tool is quite expensive and I don't consider it "more" user friendly than NN-XT itself.

thanks! but forget to say I am a mac....

whilst 99 isnt cheap - I'm willing to pay for it...

I got a load of non musical sample stuff and its really tricky to get it in the right order using the microscopic remote editor window!

Well, I'm on Mac, too!

But that narrows down the choices. I could propose to use soundfonts instead. While they don't take full advantage of the NN-XT features, they are fairly compatible and seamless to use with NN-XT.

Look here for a soundfont editor: Polyphontics

I have tried it years ago and it looked promising, but had some stability issues. Maybe you could test it with the demo version.

hmm that soundfon thing doesnt look much better than the reason editor..

basically I have like 100 samples to map to 100 keys..

trim the start on them

and then maybe drag them around into order on the keyboard ( they dont really have a definite pitch to use... )

wondering if I can get a demo of the app I linked - I dont have the APp store on my OS and I don need the aggro of upgrading to try this out!!
