Can reason achieve virus access quality

ITS SEEMS TO ME THAT REASON CAN ACHIEVE PRETTY MUCH ANY THINK. BUT WITH ALOT OF HARD WORK. I KNOW THERES GOING TO BE KNOW MIDI IN OUT SO I WILL HAVE TO USE PRO TOOLS WITH REASON WHICH SOUNDS LIKE ALOT OF WORK, SO CAN REASON ACHIEVE THAT FULLY BODY SOUND THAT ACCESS GIVES. I THINK IT CAN'T THE SONIC FEELING I GET WHEN I HEAR THESE SOUNDS ARE TO GOOD, EVEN WITH A COMBINATOR WITH 4 THORS SPREAD OUT GET MUDDY CLIPPY AND I THINK THORS FILLTERS ARE CRAPPY. THOR SOUNDS VERY GOOD BUT ITS FILTERS LET IT DOWN. THIS IS THE BEST I CAN DO WRITE NOW. IF ANY ONE MAKE TRANCE AND DOING VERY WELL USING JUST REASON PLEASE SHOW ME SOME OF YOUR STUFF. HERES A SAMPLE

Reason can't sound exactly like an Access Virus, and it's not meant to.

First of all, you are talking about taste. Taste is highly personal. Some people like vanilla ice cream, others like chocolate best. Same thing with synthesizers. Some people love the Virus. But there is also synths like Roland JP8000, Waldorf Blofeld, and Alesis ION that also sound different to Virus, yet people like those synths as well.

I think that Thor sounds great in most cases for it's intended purposes, but it's not meant to sound like a Virus. So it may be a sound you like or not like. Either you learn to like it or you move on. Simple as that.

And hopefully soon, with rack extensions, you will have more choices for other synths.

I did this demo for a Club Soundset some time ago:

All of my demos for other soundsets, not only trance:

All those sounds where made with Reason 6.0 (i.e. Thor, Malström, etc)

Cheers!

Daniel Kandi, signed to Anjunabeats is using nothing but Reason 3.0. So he does get the big room trance sound out of mostly Subtractor and Malström.

wow... had no idea. always liked his stuff. he barely uses effects too. especially dynamic effects. I wish he showed more of his synth programming/mixboard personally, although that bit about the volume automated "sidechain compression" is almost disheartening considering how big he is, but alas I love that he is only using 3.0... Until I recently upgraded to 6.5 I was using 3.0 alone for I want to say going on around 12 years. And never came close to that sound... I think this speaks volumes to his desktop computer behemoth he must have. I want to know what his build is personally.
