no zero crossing?!!!

no snap to zero crossing?

not even a line in the editor so you can find the zero crossing?

surely this is madness...

i did a quick search and saw nothing really obvious but i'm sure this has been mentioned.

well, i'm mentioning it again.

and while i'm here, how about a little cross fade?

i know audio is still young in reason but surely these are some pretty basic tools. i'm sorry if this is more of a rant than a suggestion but man i'm have a long, frustrating night of editing here.

which i'm getting back to directly.

bye

Lightbulb up slope or down slope switch ?

i wonder if it would also be good to enforce the direction of the wave slope when it snaps to zero crossing ...

Also a delete button in the audio editor. It's a real pain to have to remove a small portion at the beginning of the sample and do it precisely as you need to zoom in and then select the rest of the sample (waiting forever till it scrolls to the end) to crop it. We should also be able to set a length for the loop crossfade. Absolutely essential to get smooth loop points in many cases.

when you're zoomed in just hit P and it'll set the loop markers to the clip you're editing. then you can just jump to the end of the loop with the 'L' and 'R' tabs on the transport bar and those tabs can be assigned to keyboard short cuts.

least that's how i roll.

Yeah, it's really, really crippled now. Thanks for the info about doing it using shortcuts but a simple delete function would come in handy haha.
