Are there any detailed books on synth sound designing for reason

I'm a music composer, who is currently working on a featured single. I have always been more comfortable with instruments rather then synthesis but for this particularly single i have decided to explore the realm of synthesis sound. So, i would humble appreciate some help in this field.

Books aren't quite the way to go here. (Believe me I have a biiig library, but not about this.)

Youtube is a much better source.

Also, people like MacProVideo have put together fairly systematic training about Reason. If you're under pressure / in a hurry that may be your best bet.

Reason is more about producing music than a pure exploration of sound synthesis.

If learning about sound synthesis is your primary goal, something like Max/MSP or Pure Data may be more what you need. (When it comes to sound synthesis, btw, there _are_ plenty of books.)

\ but he wants to "understand" something complex in what seems like a short period. Just seems he would be better guided into doing what he wants to figure out to do, rather than learning the science of synthesized sound. =) Thats how I began, so all I can suggest lol

'How to Make A Noise' is a good book for synthesis.
