Talking New user - First song on Reason 6.5

Hello Propellerheads!
I finally upgraded from Reason 5 to Reason 6.5 recently, and decided to ask for your input on some of my work. This is the first track I made in Reason 6.5, which I've had for 2 days now. Please let me know what you think, I'm very interested in all feedback!

BASS. I LOVE BASS.

This is Shitty Club Banga material, and I like it. I produced that dude's Comedy/Club/RAP album.

Thanks! Do you think I should lower the bass levels a bit?

Any other input would be greatly appreciated everyone! I finally received my ignition key today, it's been quite the wait. Finally no more internet required. Woo!

Well first of all huge upgrade, I'm sure you're going to find out very soon that it was worth the money.

I definitely hear some vocorder, and you made nice use of the filters. I only have Reason 5 with Record 1.5, so if you used some Reason 6 effects/devices I wouldn't know about them.

I like it. As for bass levels I couldn't really say. It's to late to really crank it up right now :P.

Now this is outside my normal styles that I listen to so this may be totally wrong but anyways. I think the kick needs a TINY bit more clarity to it. Maybe if you layered a kick with more high end or maybe a kick that has a hihat hit on top of it. Set it to a very low level in comparison just to give it a tiny bit of high end so the kick is a little more present. Maybe I'm way off on that, just my 2 cents .

I only have two tips, the later of which I don't think needs saying.

1) I think the sweeping sound (that first plays at 0:19) is either too loud or (by default) too shrill. I'd play around with it some.

2) It needs a melody of some sort.

Despite these two things, I really liked it.

Do you plan to add vocals (or something)?

edit: Oh yeah. If by bass levels you mean the volume of the bass, I think it's fine. If it was a different genre (like classical, soft rock, etc.) I'd think it's too loud, but this hip-hopish sort of music is supposed to have kind of loud bass.

Thanks for the advice everyone, I haven't had much time in the past few days, but I will definitely be utilizing your ideas!
