jazz with the autoarp

Bit of Jazz using the autoarp, it is controlling 90% of the music via cv spiders feeding into other rack extensions like cv tuner, divisor, bits peek, and a host of other REs

any comments welcome

I think I like the horn but being really blunt I find the ARP pattern really aggravating as it crushes the track with its obviousness and staticness.

Try another mix where you let go of the tolls and and I think you will have it.

Too much chaos for me, when you use arps try and make them feel less "mechanical" this is especially possible with AutoARP.

Hi

Ummmmmm. Sorry you totally lost me now as it does sound a lot like chaos. It's like there are several ideas (and I still like the horn) but they don't belong together. Those hats are so, how do I put it nicely, twee they fight with everything.

Pare it all back. Is it the horn line with a bit of soft backing (my pick) or is it drums with some notes to justify it as music (which is what you seem to be trying for from the title)?

Sorry to seem so down but this is a dead end at the moment. The WOWbass track makes more sense as a unit.

Thanks, I don't mind a bit of criticism on this piece as I want to get a jazz type feel

What I will try, is take the drums out or at least chop the timing down as they are being triggered semi random, will see how I go

Cheers

It sounds still too much 'automated' to me... I don't have any experience working with AatoArp, but seeing their demovideo, It is possible to get much more a organic sound to the song.

Ofcourse it is, even with the default reason arp its possible to make it sound more natural.

Thanks for the feed back guys, I'm still working on it, I have deleted the first attempt as people might still be commenting on that one but, I keep playing around with the current one, main problem I have is keeping the bum notes out it.

Cheers

It sounds interesting to me, but I am not sure why the horn cuts off so much. I like jazz, this too, but I would like to hear it again with a horn that isn't as choppy.
