should i buy reason ?

i just don't know if should buy reason, i have used it back when it was 3.5, but moved to ableton live,
if i could find plenty of videos or demos for house music i might be convinced, i really need
something that has plenty of great sounds i ca actually use, rather than thousands of patches i wouldn't even try to tweek, i like the idea of refills so i could increase my library, but i still unsure

this is the sound i am looking for,

Why I like reason + example track

The link below is a preview track from a guy I know, he produces dark electro-house style music and makes some crazy stuff. In fact its what got me realising how professional the sound of reason really is and all the possibilities you can do with it.

When i first bought reason, I wasn't so convinced, I didn't like the presets and I had a lot to learn before I could get my hands dirty and start making my own sounds, but this guy convinced me that there's so much you can do with reason if you experiment with it...

Check it out, and obviously the lesson here is that the beauty of reason is making your own sounds... so don't rely too much on refills dude. :]

Exclamation The real question should be... is it worth it?

I don't think any real DAW is made for any specific style. It all comes down to how well can you work a synth ? You're going to find the same basic options in every program, so how far you want to take it, and deciding just how dedicated you need to be to acquire the results you want, is up to you.

Should you buy reason? You should download the demo at least...

The real question should be... is it worth it?

IMO ... Hell yes!

But really, should YOU buy reason? I don't know =)
