Midi input/controller wont sustain notes

My problem is basically when recording notes with the midi keyboard controller it only records the initial notes hit and does not record sustaining or holding the notes down. Is this in my settings somehow?

You probably have the same controller registered twice or two controllers on one midi input, go to the MIDI settings and check if theres only one controller item per controller and all use the right midi in and outputs.
