Dear Rob Papen: Please consider resizing RP-Verb

Please consider resizing RP-Verb. This is an amazing effect unit that could fit more efficiently in the Reason rack...and on our laptop screens =) Perhaps the same can be done with RP-Distort. I think even the VSTs could benefit from this resizing. I have put together an image displaying the RP-Verb as a 5U (instead of the current 9U).
  • This is a 5U size.
  • The text and diodes/buttons are the original size.
  • The knobs are 80% the original size.
  • This maintains the exact same layout as the VST (with the exception of the "space type" and "colour" separate screens).

And here is a side-by-side comparison:
Original 9U on the left and proposed 5U on the right (with Polar pictured for size reference).

Thank you for your consideration =)

Your visual is a huge improvement. I can see how RP want their REs to tie in with their VSTs but they should consider the rack paradigm and scaling for Reason also.

Can't believe you've managed to fit the same controls into such less space. Much better but the controls are still bigger than most others in Reason. Therefore if the RP-Verb and RP-Distort controls/GUI's are not too big then it follows that most other stuff in Reason must be too small!

True, the controls could still be smaller. The knobs here are 80% the original size. The RP-Distort's controls would certainly need to be smaller by a bit more in order to make the device much smaller (as it's already pretty packed).

I did discover "liquid rescale" inside Gimp (which scales images one way without distorting them too badly). However, I couldn't figure out a way to also tell it to make the elements smaller when resizing (so, I had to do all of the above by hand).

I like the bottom panel of RP-Distort. Those are good sized knobs.

If you're talking about folding, I believe it's a limitation in the current RE SDK.

The PX7 layout hints that the feature will most likely be available in the future (it looks like you should be able to hide the programmer and just view the 2U like Thor). For whatever reason, they have chosen to/could not include the ability in the current SDK...
