I'm really fond of the pads you've used on this track. Sounds like Antidote, perhaps? Has a nice warmth to it. Like all your previous tracks, it flows really well and the arrangements are solid as can be. I dig the lyrics too. Musically, it screams 1986. Which for me is a VERY cool thing! 8)

Can't wait to hear what's next. I'm finding myself more excited about new Pacific Deep and/or Some Desperate Glory tracks than I am about the new Pet Shop Boys and Erasure albums. Considering how much I love PSB & Erasure, that's saying quite a bit.

Once again..... amazing job, gents! Simply amazing. Thanks for posting it!

Cheers,

J

Thanks for the nice comments, you guys, and WOW thank you for that really humbling comment, Jimm!

Did you guys notice the key change in the song? The concept was the first verse and chorus was in a minor key because the protagonist is sad about the collapsing relationship. Then, there is a break where a major key sounds. After that, the song is in a major key and the protagonist is happy about the breakup. In the first chorus the lyric is "Can't stop this decline" but after that it becomes "Can't stop this sweet decline".

Anyway, this was an experiment Raymond and I did, and it was a lot harder than we thought it would be, but we think it worked out pretty well!
