C1-l1 vintage compressor

So! We have new compressor, that is prety cheap and very high rated ^^

I need compressor beside SSL ChanComp.

And now, which one to buy and why?
Fet Compressor or C1-L1 VINTAGE COMPRESSOR? ^^

Why is this comp for 39€ and FetComp 79€? Is Fet a lot better?

Regards!

Please do read into different types of compressors before asking such a thing. I think if you don't know what these types of compressors can do you're not ready to purchase one.

Well if compressor sounds good and fit my ears, I don't even need to read ^^

But still thinking about C1-l1 vintage compressor vs Fet Compressor.
For now SSL compressors are enough for me :P

Try them out... If you're going to compare the compressors, I'd recommend trialing a few at the same time so you can compare the sound. Check out the DCAM, the RE-2A and the Rough Rider too - they're all sound very different

suit yourself. I'm just telling you how you should (in my book) approach compressors.

but if you don't understand how they work/know how to use them, you won't be able to achieve something that sounds good. listening to clips of the sounds other people have gotten with them is useless if you can't approximate those results. I think that was his point.
