Can't you already do this?

For example:

Create a Sub + Matrix. make your pattern in the Matrix as usual...

Then, in the seqencer select the Sub track (so it's highlighted and has the midi input icon). In the rack, right click the matrix and go "copy pattern to track". You should get a pop up window saying that you're copying the pattern to the wrong track, but click okay anyway.

The matrix pattern has now been sent to the Subtractor track. If you don't want it to the subtractor, just select a different sequencer track...

btw, this works great if you use DrRex loop in the NNXT: just load the same loop into both a DrRex and an NNXT, but "copy pattern to track" from the DrRex to the NNXT. You can now play around with all the various outputs and stuff...

Not sure if this is what you're trying to do?

Re: Can't you already do this?

Yes, I see where you coming from! This wish is a very small one of saving time & dispelling confusion. The "you are about to create dat on track that plays another device...." pop up is a confusing one for some new Reason users. It just seems like you are doing something wrong! If an option pops up then the user "has" options and not a warning.
