Midi Controller vs Onscreen computer keys

You know, I have two Midi controllers, M-Audio Keystation 88 and and M-audio Oxygen 25 and I discovered that I like using my laptop computer keys in place of the controller. I make a lot of beats on the go and I tell you man, it's convenient. I remember a time where was I just isolated to The Dr. Rex or Dr. Octo but now the sky is the limit. I love it.

Anyone who is unfamiliar with this feature go to window and click on show piano keys and click on computer keys. Or you can click F4. Enjoy!

I used to do it this way as well, but when I'm home I use my Akai midi controller. I still use the computer keyboard when I'm on the go, but I am considering picking up a Korg NanoKey 2, small midi keyboard that I assume may be a bit better than just the computer keyboard.

I've tried the feature and don't really like it much.

Yeah the computer keys is just an on the go feature that I'm glad is there when I need it. My favorite controller is my Keystation 88 though.

I actually really like the onscreen keyboards. A lot of my beats have pretty flat velocity, so it's not that much of an issue. And BOY is it convenient.

It's like you either have to be stationary or on the go. So it works.
