Ozone Maximixer review

From Another post : I would say get the Ozone Maximizer because it's in a class (or 2) above the MClass Maximizer. Great Device.

Second that, it is light years beyond the mclass.

I had a uncompressed mix that peaked at -1.5db.

Applied both maximizer at -6.5 db (no eq or compression) and wow, the ozone sounded way better. Mix was clear, uncolored, highs did not turn harsh, perhaps a better trained ear (experienced engineer) might ear something I did not, but sounded perfect to me.

To all those who are looking for a limiter, don't hesitate for this one.

Kudos to Ozone

It's certainly a big step up from the M-Class.

Would be nice if they ported over their Ozone EQ and Ozone Multiband Dynamics too.

Bob Katz said you should treat items like Limiters as weapons. Lest I forget are you a Mastering Engineer?

I also liked the results a lot.. IMO it works even better if using the IRC 1 or 2 (depending on the sounding dynamix, after equalizing with U-he Q. That device can give a warm bottom to the mix!

among engineers there's a constant battle between mature and immature ears.
