just a thought, not sure it will work but couldn't you (for now at least) load up each block as a sample/loop in the dr octo rex player and then just click away when needed? so say you had 3 different blocks, intro, verse, chorus. you would load each block into into its own player, then you can slice 'n dice etc upto 7 diff versions of each block. set it to beat and just click away at it live. and who knows maybe there might be a way of controlling the rotarys/buttons via cv's.
have not done nor tried this as i don't use reason live, is just off the top of my head, hope it helps.
yes-i agree. I thought i would love midi loops in live--which is sort of what people are looking for here thru triggerable blocks--but ultimately i liked the audio only approach--it was less flexible, took a little time for export import, but it made me commit to doing something. I prefer dr octo rex to Live, although its not as flexible in many ways--ir Mpa well to my controller and "just works".
