This guy suggested back during the R+R days to forget about switching screens and even to forget about using dual monitors: https://www.propellerheads.se/forum/showthread.php?t=123469
. I thought he was crazy but for my workflow, he was spot-on. Dual monitors and seeing only one screen on one monitor at a time is great for “eye candy” in the studio, but it’s extraneous to working on a specific task at hand and it causes mass amounts of unnecessary rapid eye movement and neck twisting. Now admittedly, I'm on a desktop with 22" single monitor; I sure wouldn't want to try it on a 17" laptop or whatever.
