Hi. When it comes to mixing/equing your ears are the most important tool and a good set of reference monitors to hear the mix =). You'll be able to hear which frequencies are the highest and wont need to rely on a graph. It doesn't hurt to check a visual graph after mixing but you should not be using it to mix. Not sure if it is a debatable subject but I learned from past mistakes to start using my ears.
