1 or 2U Spacers

If you've ever dealt with a large rack with many devices screwed into it, you've probably run across 1 or 2U spacers that you can bolt in between 2 pieces of gear. These are often used to create a bit of space between 2 pieces of gear that might run hot or to cover up an empty section between gear instead of leaving an ugly gap. Someone should develop 1 or 2U spacer RE's so that I can separate devices in my rack when I see fit. That's what I need.

Sounds like a simple enough task that would serve a purpose.

Perhaps if no established RE developers bite, you could apply for the SDK?

And no more than $19 for spacers. Maybe $24 for a 3U but that would be the max I would spend.

Lol =P
Of course, I would think that if someone had access to the SDK, they wouldn't have to do anything other than give it a nice looking black gradient and call it a day. If it doesn't have to function, I wouldn't think much else would need to be done with it. Maybe I'm wrong? I bet someone, if allowed by Propellerhead to offer such a "device" would offer it for free.

Free. It will happen, and it will be free... the problem is, finding a usable "excuse" for it so it passes the PH approval process, because a dummy non-functioning device will be hard to get pass that, IMHO.

...but, there are ways to turn it into a wire-friendly device while keeping it so dummy-simple that it'll have to be a Free RE

Talking

Mmm, I wonder of they'll have canned steam and tartan paint in the Re shop soon too.
