Editing parameters with scroll wheel

Sometimes as a mixer and a synth tweaker, I like to close my eyes and edit parameters to allow my ears to choose the best settings. I hate looking at the screen while I change parameters because sometimes I let my eyes get the best of me when I see my self going to the extreme on settings and I tell my self this can't be right and I dial it back down. Maybe we can have a option to lock scroll wheel to parameters in sometime in the future. What do you guys think?

How about just double click a parameter to lock scroll wheel to that parameter.

I'd love this but only issue I see is that most scroll wheels has a "notched" action, not sure if this would work well for tweaking knobs. Like how much does one "notch" make the knob move? 1? 10? Is it smoothed automatically? How fast?

Yah but thats benefit of having the right mouse. It won't be for everybody because everybody wouldn't have the proper mouse but guarantee when they see the power behind it, they're going want to invest in a mouse that will allow better accuracy while scrolling. Or maybe adjust the sensitivity in the mouse preference. This is will be really nice though. My wrist gets tired of moving and tweaking, moving and tweaking. After double clicking a parameter to enter scroll lock, the esc key will unlock it when your ready. Simple as that.

Only after double-clicking.

I like the idea, but wheel is useful for what is being used now, I also wouldn't want to miss it.
