Rebirth 2012 (Rack Extension)

Im on Reason since day one, even before that, since Rebirth, hence this post!!

I use the Rebirth Input machine quite often, as I have always liked to keep some retro sound in my music with this legendary soft synth. But i find in this day and age, programming Rebirth a bit of a creativity Killer.

I would love to see a Rack Extension version with full Automation in the Reason app and realtime midi control of the 303's as opposed to the 16 step input mode.

Also maybe 1 or 2 extra new features, but not deviating too far away from the original.

Just a thought.

James

I think some people think it would be pointless addiing Rebirth as an RE, as with Redrum you can easily create 808 & 909 kits.

But I have yet to hear anyone recreate the 303's perfectly in a refill in either the subtractor or Thor, and that goes for the brilliant Peff's efforts in his pack.

Obviously it would make the rebirth input machine redundant, but it would improve the overall scheme of things.

It would be a great to see it in there somehow.

After all, it is Reason's daddy at the end of the day.

Rant over.

the ABL2 has no step sequencer..
it sounds very good, but it has no options to program melodies, and switch between them in order. everything must be done through the control voltages...

in the Rebirth TB-303 are a lot more features!
Accent, Slide for single notes.. etc..
the ReBirth-303 makes me more fun

However, the Rebirth can not fade between the waveforms of square and saw^^

Accent and slide are essential to the vintage 303 sounds. A must IMO.
I'd love to see an Untampered 808, 909 and two classic 303s under that Reason hood.

I'll try the ABL 2 out of curiosity.

You can do accents and slides with a Matrix.

I use the matrix combinator from Transisthor, and that sounds great with ABL2.

Ive checked out the ABL 2 and Im liking the vintage 303 sounds from them.

But I have to say it is over priced at €49.

I think Ill just stick with my rebirth Input machine after the demo expires.

More like €25 would have been better priced for a single oscillator plugin.

I am loving Radical Piano and Rob Pappens Predator. they will be my first 2 purchases after my demo trial expires.
