Melodic dance music produced entirely in Reason

A chord based, ever so slightly cheesy (yet dancey) EDM (hate that term) tune. Enjoy and give any feedback you can think of!

I liked the beat and that complex lead thing you had at maybe 45 seconds or so. I also liked the main chord progression but I think the chord sound was too static. It kinda got hard to listen to for me. I think it would be improved with a slight lfo or even just an envelope on the amp, filter or both.

Otherwise, quite good!

I like the gargly voice sound at 1.06. The last part with the choppy rhythm is interesting. In my opinion, it would be nice if there were some drone chords in the background filling it a bit.

agree with carl. needs something to ease the repetition in each phrase. also more drums. more hh's to mix things up. some up sweep effects would be nice too maybe some kickbombs. and eq those chords more subtle - slight ear fatgue from the highs

I take the point about the ear fatigue and repetitiveness. I monitor on headphones so sometimes I can't tell when a sound sounds wrong

i do most of my work on headphones - through the VRM. The only way I can get away with it. As I am designing sounds I am going between the Adams S2.5A for general purpose/American Passive (And Jap Yamaha NS80s) for drums and sweeps/Auratone 5c and LCD TV for bullshit soundsystem checks. I also have alesis 620 monitors (well one right now.. have to resolder some capacitors in the right one - a typical design flaw due to proximity to another high temp capacitor). GenElec 1031As are good for checking PA style mackie speakers.

sorry for sounding like a noob, but what's a VRM? I use sennheiser HD 518 headphones for the record.

Way to cheesy for me but it fits todays industry standard. Musically and technically. I think it doesen't have to hide behind Guetta and Deadmau5 stuff.

Good. Then you will have the same or better results than I do with the VRM Box - google it. But the best 150$ ever spent - impossible to really describe what you get out of it except you can scroll through 30 different monitoring options from name brands like Adams Yamaha Opal KRK etc etc and they pick up slightly different frequencies you can cut out and it will totally clean up your mixes - cuz thats what you would benefit from most now. Best investment you can get and relatively cheap by music investment standards.
