Well the quickest way to get going is to have a google for free midi files.
This is a fast way to get a song into Reason - just use 'Import MIDI file...' from the File menu or Drag n Drop one into your project then start replacing the ID8 Devices with your own instruments.
From there you can be as creative as you like with the arrangement. Alternatively you could do what we like to Call a ReCover, where we try to recreate the original sound as closely as possible. In a way you can learn a lot more by using this approach as you can work towards a goal. You might find it interesting to look up EditEd4TV, AKA Ed Bauman, who has recently released his second volume of 88MPH, a collection of iconic 80's ReCovers that can be found here....
