very slow.. a fascinating take on the original. the vocals were either not properly recorded or you are just using too much reverb - reverb is an effect, like stereo, or an equalizer, and should be used as such - AUTOMATE AUTOMATE AUTOMATE
it should not be consistently on unless the dry/wet is like 1-3% ya know
if you can distinguish reverb its too much as a general rule - if theres none there, usually the mix feels static - so my point is use reverb in moderation like anything, and keep the values REALLY SUBTLE. enoiugh that it rounds the voice but not enough that you can emphatically say "THERE IS REVERB ON THAT VOCAL"
now.. if its a breakdown and you want to emphasize the headroom, AUTOMATE the verb tail of course but before the drop it better cut again.
