Change the way we write music

Third party developers are currently developing new instruments and devices on how we design sound. This is where i would like to see a new feature in propellerheads where it changes and assists the way we write our music.

What if as you write a melody or progessions Reason told you it was musically incorrect or suggested alternative chords according to what key you selected?

Also what if every part you played reason offered a alternative with the style of play you used which would be unique everytime as everyone plays different?

Just a thought i had would really love to see this become a part of Reason.

The first time Reason tells me something I do is 'musically incorrect' it will set the following events in motion.

1)Wiping my butt with my Ignition Key
2)Mailing it to Props HQ

I have no musical knowledge at all, I fine with it, makes music more fun.. If it sounds good - it sounds good.

Rather than figuring out progressions or being told I'm doing it wrong....

Cool idea though, just not for me =D

if you want a program make the music for you you not want to make music.

'Xcept there's no such thing as a "musically incorrect" harmony/melody/progression. It's the dissonant notes and "musically incorrect" scale transitions that separate one song from another.

No offense, but take some music lessons, then rethink this one.

I can see it now...

Like the old Microsoft Office Paperclip, it could say "Hey, that's so cool", and start dancing around the screen as you're composing your track. Then all of a sudden it stops dancing, looks bored, and you start having panic attacks because you're not sure which adjustment it was in the piano roll that killed the vibe. Oh no!! ..

:-)
