Phase Invert Switch on devices or standalone unit

I would like it if there was a quick way to invert phase inside some the devices (ie NN-XT) via one of the small knobs at the bottom of the edit screen

Perhaps even a small half rack All-pass filter so you can dial in variable phase.

This would be incredibly handy for lots of applications and something that would be useful to many users making various styles of music.....

Focus=Reason ssl mixer. Look from top: Input knob>Phase button.
What else do you want?

Well, like i said i'd like a little unit that provides variable phase. That way i could insert it anywhere in my signal chain as opposed to just having in on the ssl.

Plus i'd be able to dial in any amount insted of just 180degree flip.
Ideal for layering drums and getting multi mic'd guitar recordings perfectly in phase....

thats what else i want

No one else think this would be a thoroughly useful addition?

well I think unfiltered Audio or OchenK would be the guys for that sort of stuff...
I think youcould do fun things with that, like manual phasing effects and all that jazz, but I probably wouldn't use it too much.

I think a generic cheap Audio utility RE would be tres handy.

it could have
  • gain
  • pan
  • phase invert
  • stereo width
  • ... more?

yeah if it did more than just phase fumbling I might use it...
could be really awesome in a combinator, now that I think of it. Weird stereo pulsing, organic phase bubbling...
Maybe a distance knob, cutting off, highs softly and maybe adding little room, or verb to make it sound more distant.
and you got your horror drone
in that light...
