A rack-mounted group fader device could have the individual rack channels go into it, and all be affected by a master volume fader, then go out to the SSL individually. You wouldn't even need individual faders for each channel, just a display of what channels are going through it. This would not change the volume settings in the synths or audio files or effects, nor would it change the fader levels on the SSL. What would be a reasonable number of channels? Say ten so a full drum set or horn section or choir could be grouped? They could also have a chaining cv link on the back to have additional devices run off one master fader. Are you listening Ochen?
