How to export?

It seems like whenever I export a song, it always sounds kinda fuzzy and low quality... What should I have my export settings at for the best quality sound?

Reason's minimum export standards are as CD-quality audio WAV files (44.1 khz, 16 bit). Anything above that would be "better", although if the file you get doesn't sound good enough, I'd suggest it's more to do with your mix than the export settings.

I always had it set to 44.1 khz at 24 bit, because I assumed more bits was better quality. It's not the mixing, though. It sounds great in Reason, just not in iTunes.

Thanks for the advice, I'll keep it in mind.

To be honest, since I don't use iTunes, I don't know what its capabilities are. There's a chance it may not know how to process 24-bit recordings, and so if it was trying to interpret the WAV file incorrectly, that may result in some distortion.

What you can do to try and suss out the issue is A) export your file in 16-bit mode and see if that sounds better in iTunes, and/or B) try the 24-bit file on other players and see if it sounds any better elsewhere.
