MClass Equalizer Graphic Display

Wondering if anyone knows the reasons behind the choice of frequencies on the MClass Equalizer graphic display.

There's such a sense of precision in this unit! Can't imagine the numbers to be... random.

So, yes, 33Hz at the bottom is the lowest C on a piano.
And 20kHz is a logical upper threshold.

But... why 78Hz and multiples?

Is it just what you get when starting from 20kHz at the top and dividing by 2 each time?
Or is there any specific intention?

Yep you got it right regarding the 20kHz / 2 = 10khz / 2 = 5khz, 2.5khz, 1.25, 625hz, 312hz, 156hz, 78hz & 39hz.

Ok reason for this... these are all 1 octave apart. This helps visually so you can see from say halfway between 39 & 78Hz you had a gain, and if you decide 'actually I want this 3 octaves up', you can simply do the frequency you have already set (say 50hz) , then you double it (octave 1 up) double again (octave 2 up) and double again (octave 3 up) = 50hz > 100hz > 200hz > 400hz

hope this sheds some light for you

Ok, yes thanks. That's what I thought.

Just wondering why they didn't go on from their 33Hz start. That would have made it very simple visually: each vertical line would correspond to one of the C notes of the piano.
Since they started like this, I was wondering why they didn't keep going up.
