solo multiple tracks at the same time

has anybody come up with a solution for soloing more than one track at a time?

I tried using the diret outs of my track group to a 14:2 mixer. this allows me to mute all these tracks at the same time, but if I solo the main mixer track that also mutes the group channels that are sending to the group, so the result is to mute the tracks rather than to solo them.

Of course reason really should already have a Group tracks feature (which would really make editing multi track drums much easier) but until then, does anybody have a workaround for this?

You can solo many tracks at the same time using a 14:2 mixer inside a combinator, is not flexible but it is a solution.

This probably won't be of much help but with a Nektar Panorama you can do that...

Basically your choices are automation or hardware at least until a groups function is realised within the SSL. However you can perhaps achieve exactly the functionality you want by using a combination of summing tracks (that you don't want to solo) to a 14:2 mixer and then using the MUTE button on that mixer channel instead of feeling you have to use a solo button. By muting your routed tracks you are effectively soloing the other tracks.

Good luck
