ID8 drumkits to be used through kong

can you use an ID8 drumkit through the kong or can you assign each key to it's own channel?

Hi

I think we need to know more about what you want to achieve here to answer better. I'm not sure what you mean by "Channel" as it would seem odd to put hits on different MIDI Channels.

If you simply want to import the ID8 Samples then have a look in the Reason Factory Sound Bank (FSB) to see if there are there. If not then there are other kits in there that will probably do the job just fine (if not actually be the same sample set). Or you can get clever and sample the sounds off into a Kong or NN Sampler.

Kong can't Trigger sounds as it has no sequencer but ReDrum does (CV to Kong or ID8)or simply use the main Sequencer.

I hope that helps in some way.
