Not trying to be arrogant, maybe, but succeeding admirably. The first thing I said after "check my system specs" was that a newer processor would be in order. In any case, a solid-state hard drive, 16 Gb of DDR3 RAM, and a 2 Gb video card seem to make up for my PC's "obvious" shortcomings. I have yet to push CPU load above 30%. Cost without monitors was around $1100 USD. At today's dollar/Euro conversion rate yours would come in at nearly $1900.

Edited to add: Note also that my i5 2500K 3.3 GHz quad-core processor is gently overclocked to 3.5. This is a built-in feature of the mainboard, which would allow it to run at up to 3.8 GHz.
