That's not the way to do it ( but it does still work that way). I could also show you how to use the control room out wired with a line mixer into the reference input on the loudness meter to have a mono check button (the reference input on the loudness meter would be a mono check button). So at the same time you can have the loudness meter wired to meter you master output and have a mono check button. But hey it's your call, if you want my help let me know and we'll set up a time.
