Original song/first post to music forum

Hi -

This is an original song I just posted to SoundCloud and we love to get some feedback on the song, the performance , the production, etc. It was done completely in Reason 6.5.
The music I do tends to be a lot different from most of the songs I listen to on this forum. I'm more of a singer/songwriter type in the rock/ folk rock/ alt country vein though I do listen to many different styles. And I do admire all the wonderful producers on this forum.
Please let me know what you think. Any constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated.

Dude, great song! I really like your voice, fits perfect with the music.
The only negative thing I can think off is the bass. To me it was a bit too loud or to much bass freq, but it can be my headphones fault to I guess.

But as I said, great song. Looking forward to new posts!

Thanks

Thank you so much for the feedback. I try to listen to my mixes on as many devices as possible but it is always a challenge for me to get something that sounds good on everything.
I have a few other posts on my SoundCloud page if you're interested. Another original and two covers. All done completely in Reason. I've posted the links below. Thanks again for listening; I really appreciate it!

I would have lowered the vocals volume just a tat to make the instruments have a little more space. Other then that, great production! Very nice!

Thanks for the kind words and the feedback. Since I tend to think of my songs as being very lyric oriented I probably push the vocals a little too much. I'll take your advice to heart.

I really liked it. Like someone already mentioned only thing I'd do is bring the vocals down a bit. Drowns out the rest of the mix a bit. Besides that great job!

I liked the song very much, and to be honest I didn't think the vocals were too loud for the genre. I loved the movement to the song, how everything kind of pushed to the next line. A very well written song.
