Neptune doesn't pass on syllables that are on the same note.. That's kind of a pity. But otherwise the PEFF patch works pretty good

After hearing what Peff did, I have to agree. I actually started to wonder what happened if I tried to take a jazz sample and extract the chords what would happen. I still think this is a valid feature suggestion.

Hum a melody into the Neptune, and make neptune send that data out as midi to a synth through CV routing and you're done
That is so right on! I can't believe I didn't know about this and I was thinking about buying a Sonuus unit. Now I'm in guitar synth heaven. Widi VST does okay too for ReWire users. It's polyphonic but it doesn't register bends or vibrato. I like Neptune better!

Analogue Guitar Synth

Check it out. I made a guitar synth patch. Guitar goes in, synth comes out. Not unlike the pricey hardware guitar synths out there. Enjoy!

Ableton Live 9 does exactly this, and it is very well done.

To the person saying MIDI will control us all... who wouldn't want a brain to MIDI converter. Why is this perceived as a bad thing? We're still creating aren't we? I play "real" instruments and I understand why some people look down on MIDI and sequencing in general, but it's here, so let's use it to the fullest extent!

I thought that Ableton 9 would only create MIDI from pre-recorded audio. I'm interested in converting the audio in real time so I can use my guitar to control synths and stuff. I will be freaking awed if Ableton does that. That might be a game-changer for me. As for thought to MIDI conversion, I think we should start a petition for the Props.

Brain to midi is possible through a device called emotiv which is a brain sensor thingy that goes on your head, but probably not that good at the moment as you can only control basic things on a computer or game.
