Here's the best way to explain how to sum to mono, Left + Right = Mono. I attached a zip file so you can see what I mean by just that. I don't use a combi to mono check (but I did make one for you). I just sum the L and R from the control room out (on the master fader) using a line mixer (Left to channel 1 mono in and Right to channel 2 mono in) and routed the sum to the Flower Loudness meter's reference input. I have it set up in my template so I can easily mono check just by pressing the reference input button on the reference input. I included both my template and a combi just in case you don't have the Flower meter. This is how I do it. I'm not really sure if that RE allows you to mono check properly. I need to look more into it. I could end up eating my words....
