I'm in.

So nice to have someone "classic", melody and all that in here.

Hi Benedict.

I guess melody, especially vocal melody, is pretty high on my list of priorities.

It's weird, I know people who have seriously asked me with a certain disdain why I'm doing a jazz album in Reason. Of course, I talk about ease of use, creative workflow, stability, the SSL emulated console, audio quality, etc. All those legitimate positives seem to fall on deaf ears.

I'm doing this because I love doing it, but as a side effect, I hope to maybe add a little something to the argument for Reason as a production tool for any kind of music.

Most importantly, thanks so much for your support!

But also, the writing, arranging, instrumentation... that's been exciting from a different angle, and of course Reason has been incredibly fun as part of that process. I've mentioned in other threads that I love how Reason is letting me just get down to business (in a fun way) without having to overthink anything about the UI.

And being able to mix on a virtual SSL...

We'll see how this whole "panties dropping" thing goes.
Anthony only drops his panties for the best producers... or at least that's what he told me.

I really want to give this a listen 7string but the indiegogo page won't load for me. Is there anywhere else I can have a listen?

Smashing, I had a feeling I wouldn't be disappointed. Can't go wrong with a bit of jazz.

Thanks so much!

"Smashing" ... I think I still have time to put that on a CD sticker.

Another production note: I am using Reason's stock Line6 rack devices for all the guitar processing. In particular, the Blackface emulation is giving me a great "jazz" sound, so I haven't felt the need to fire up an amp or use another emulator.

I would love to do the whole album with no REs as a proof of concept, but I like the RE-2A on my voice too much.

Yeah, I really enjoy the RE-2A also...it's one of my "go-to" RE's

No worries. I'm eager for my record.

And honestly who cares what tool you use. I guess in your time you've seen nothing bands down the pub with the newest, most expensive gear and stunning players using a battered Tele clone that is 20 years old.

Those who can do...
