Wow, I'm all for developers protecting their products, but that seems like it's going a bit far.

So if my key breaks or I lose it, are they replaceable?

Best protection on the market Codemeter is...

Company behind it actually does annual Hacker competitions, asking top hackers to crack their key and the winner gets €20000 if they can do it totally.

Some mad rules they have too, and they can tell if hacker cheated or not (i know a weird idea, but they have shedloads of backdoor traps)

Never been cracked in 10 years since inception
