+1 for being able to see all the drums at once, I would love this feature, surely this can't be too hard for props to implement, it's not even changing the function of redrum, just the interface.

Also while they are making improvements to redrum, some way to program each step from a midi controller would be even better. I hate having to click with the mouse sooo much.
I use an SSL Nucleus, which functions like a mackie control + mackie control xt, and when i select a redrum, the nucleus channel select buttons trigger the sample play buttons at the top of each channel, but i'd much rather use them to program the 16 steps of the selected sample.
Another option is there are loads of grooveboxes available really cheap 2nd hand, eg korg electribe, and i'd love to be able to program each step using the light up buttons on one of these.

I would hope their is a Redrum II with features
pitch via piano mode similar to Maschine (meaning each sample has its own piano roll)

and you should be able to layer the drums.
