Question Dr Octo Rex Timing Issue

Not sure if this is the right place to be posting it, but I want to get this issue sorted out.

Have just made a drum loop in redrum, thats fine not problems there. Its playing at the right tempo. Just a simple 4/4 beat.

Make a new combinator and load Dr Octo rex. I choose a simple 4/4 (with added percussion) beat like I have just made in redrum.

The problem is, that Dr Octo rex is playing completely out of time with the tempo. and when it is playing along with the redrum loop it just makes it sound like a mess.

can someone please explain to me whats going on and why Dr Octo rex is playing out of tempo. I thought it was meant to lock to the tempo of the project.

Thanks in advance.
